All Treats & No Tricks for Teachers- Secondary Smorgasbord- FREEBIES

I'm thrilled to be linking up with the Secondary Smorgasbord again for their October linky party! This month secondary sellers are sharing their Trick-or-Treat themed FREEBIES!!! This is a great way to incorporate Halloween, while also making sure your students are still mastering those important skills that we have so little time to squeeze in!

The FREEBIE I'm sharing is my "hot off the press" History of Halloween Close Reading & Informational Text!  This product includes an informational article on the history of Halloween, close reading questions (and answers), suggestions for before and after reading, and extension activities.  I've also added a link to a short video from History.com that discusses the history of Halloween, as well.

  3. Halloween is such a huge celebration time, but so many young people do not know its origins. What a great lesson!

  5. Thanks for the wonderful freebie!

I am starting research skills next week with a group of struggling 8th graders, and I'd love to use your article to work on in-text citations and I have a couple of questions. I can't find your email on the blog, so could you please email me if you have a minute?
